Another Dead Kennedy

The estranged wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Mary Kennedy was found dead on the family estate Wednesday, battled drug and alcohol problems and was depressed that her marriage could not be reconciled. How bleak it must be to lose all sense of your own purpose and direction while living in a house filled with mementos of Camelot and the autographs of all but one of the presidents. Alcohol did not help. Nor did prescription pills. And it must have seemed bleaker still for having seemed so magical and promising on that April day in 1994 when she became a Kennedy by marriage. Kennedy wives are cursed. They either end up dead or horribly depressed. They couldn't even live for their children's sake, the pressure to stay a living Kennedy must be unbelievably hard.
